I assume the newer /6 exhaust manifold EOM style replacements will work with about any /6 ...... question is, are they the SuperSix size (2 1/4"?) or the old 1 7/8 outlet? any thoughts or experience?

All slant six exhaust manifolds have the same diameter. The exhaust pipe that bolted to the exhaust manifold had difference diameters based on application, but the exhaust manifolds themselves were all the same dimensions.

my bad. I thought the inner diameter was larger for less restriction with the 2bbl

The "Super Six" performance package did have a larger diameter exhaust pipe- 2 1/4 inches. But the manifold was identical to the one barrel carb version.
