No. The air filtration surface is too small and it will foul very quickly. Why not find the right air cleaner for your carb? Get a factory air cleaner for a four barrel carb or late 80s TBI setup.

Jon, I think he is saying it may not have enough of surface area for a 4 barrel carb set-up. I bought an Edelbrock one at Advacne auto for about $30. I think it was 14" X 3" and fits under the hood of my 65 Valiant.

generally the golden rule when not using a factory air cleaner, for the purpose of efficiency, is to use the biggest air cleaner that you can.
the larger it is, the better the engine breathes.

I used to use one exactly like that on my '66. I can not give you any exact data, but it always seemed to me to be too small in diameter.

I need 48.5 square inches according to the chart below.

225 X 4500
cubic inch times peak stock engine rpm then divided by 20839

http://www.knfilters.com/filter_facts.htm

using 6 inch dia. X pi we get 18.84 inches x 2 inch width we get

37.68 inches

looks like a 23% undersize air filter...but my math may be faded...

LOL! Haven't seen one of those in years. The filter isn't very good, it will not stop much of anything smaller than a small bird, and if the motor pops up real good, it sets the foam on fire.

They do look really good though. :D

Nice! You don't have to cut a hole in your hood? or do you have a hood scoop?
