I want to upgrade my '76 225 to a super 6. do I have to swap the exhaust manifold or will the old one work??

The exhaust manifolds are the same, so old one is fine.

You may want to include enlarging exhaust system from manifold outlet to bumper to 2/1/4 inches as part of a Super Six conversion.

If you want to put more air & fuel in to the combustion chamber you have to be able to get it out efficiently to harvest all the benefits a Super Six configuration can provide.
