Still in the gathering stages of this project, but I will pick-up a BIG piece of the puzzle this weekend(1966 904 trans. & driveshaft).
I plan on switching my 64' Dart GT from Pushbutton to a Lokar floor shifter.
-I know that I will need a new speedo cable. Will the 66' work. or is it differant from the 64' at the speedometer?
-Is the neutral Safety switch the same as the 64'?
-Is there any issue with the kickdown?
-Are 1966 cable throttle, as opposed to the 1964 twist-rod type?
Yeah..yeah, I know, I should just buy a 1966 FSM!
Thanks in advance! I appreciate this forum!-Dan

Speedo cable is different at the trans end.

Neutral safety switch is still single-wire, yes.

Kickdown linkage is the same. Make sure the lever on the trans is the same length as the one on your '64.

Only AC equipped '66 Slants were cable throttle.

Thank You Mr. Skinner!
-So the non AC cars had the same twist/rod accelerator throttle assembly as the 64'? (I may be swapping that over to Lokar also, as well as the kickdown, so it will be easier when I go to a Super Six someday)
