I have a 1971 Dart with a 225 slant in it and i needed a new battery last Saturday so i went to oreilies and got a battery, it was a group 41 i got it because it had the best cold cranking amps for the money. I was just curious what is the best battery for the darts?

FWIW, I always buy the highest CCA battery that will fit my battery tray. Costs a bit more, but the more reserve the better!

Most CCAs would be highly recommended if you use your car year round in CO. However if it is a summer toy, and stored seven months out of the year until snow melts, a smaller battery will do just fine. The one thing that promotes long battery life it to is to remove it from vehicle during winter storage, and place it on a “Battery Tenderâ€￾.
