Where would I find a Part# on a non-points /6 distributor?
Is this even a canidate for HEI?

Part number was originally stamped into a flimsy rd or green aluminum tag that was usually affixed tot he distributor by one of the vacuum advance pod mounting screws.

That distributor is certainly a candidate for an HEI swap, provided you get a vacuum advance pod installed and functioning. Tear it down and note the number stamped on the governor. Lube everything and reassemble. Then research distributor recurving to set the timing curve up like you want.

Thanks Reed, I took the vacuum advance pod (6.5X) off to see if there were #'s under it. It all seems tight with no play, is there any other way to test them?
