many, many, many, many years ago, i swapped the rubber swaybar bushings on my A108 out for some Nylon/plastic/poly/whatever ones. i was told they could/would get noisy. guess what, they got noisy. any suggestions as to what to use to lube the bar thru these bushings?

I assemble those using some silicon grease and then spray with silicon spray lube if/when they get noisy.

Silicon grease is the safest for the greatest range of rubbers. Yes it should be a standard parts store item. If its not near the rest of the greases ask for SilGlyde brake parts lube. CRC makes a "Heavy Duty Silicon Spray" in a red can for aerosol stuff.

I like Teflon based stuff myself for poly. SuperLube brand grease is available at Ace Hardware and probably others. They make a teflon spray also. TriFlow may be more commonly available?

The grease cartridges came without labels, so the contents may be the silicone or Teflon lube that Pierre mentions, for all I know.

If there is room, drill a hole, screw in a lube nipple (they usually have conical threads), fill a grease-gun with polylube, and lubricate!
