Yes that's an old trick that mopar used on the AAR Cuda and the Challenger T/A, I know Firm Feel offers that arm over the counter, but it only fits certain steering boxes (sector shaft sizes). You won't be able to cut and weld up a cast stock arm to do it as there is a fair amount of stress on that part (I have broken 2 pitman arms in my life (one was old and the roads were badly potholed, the other I ran smack into a curb while avoiding a reckless driver)

I'm using c-body pitman, idler arms. Getting ready to finish the install on my 65 b-body and collecting the parts for my 66 a-body. I posted pictures of my 70 a-body here http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/sho ... 037&page=2

What's the bump steer like with the unequal length tie rods? A short tie rod end is going to cause toe-in on compression and rebound.

With the stage three firm feel steering box and the c-body arms, the car feels like it has a rack and pinion. I have not noticed any bum steer. The center link length and upgrade to 11/16" tie rods is what caused the lengths to change. I now have a ball joint reamer so I can open up the diameter of the hole on A, B- body center links.
