Where can I get a rotor that fits a Pertronix magnetic pickup ring under the distributor cap? The echlin rotor wiggles around and I would not even attempt to crank the car in that condition.

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.

If Im not mistaken it should be a stock rotor, Im assuming its a stock dizzy with the pertronix conversion...? If so the only thing I can think is the shaft is worn where the rotor presses on, or the reluctor ring for the pertronix is not seated all the way in the dizzy... Or maybe try a different brand of rotor like a standard blue streak or something...

I agree, having done recurves with the pertronix unit, some makes of rotor may not fit, but the Echlin one should, you may need to pull the p-tronix ring and try to seat the rotor itself first to see if the plastic 'nub' in the rotor body is a bit fat for the slot at the top of the governor...if it's 'sticky' you may need to pull the distributor and use some emery paper to get a little more clearance for it to fit snugly(or force the rotor on, but it may no come off easily the next time you do a tune up...)...

P.S. Just curious:

why does your signature say C-body when you are driving an A-body? Did you have a Plymouth Fury 225 slant six at one time?
