Hey to all, I too have Mike Jefferie's to thank for my combination and cylinder head. Getting involved with this forum and solid advice from Mike has made all of the effort worth while. We talked about my goals etc and I couldn't be happier.I have more to tweak but this baseline is stout.
I agree about the dyno hype stuff, it really is all about the combination.
This is the most fun I have had with a old car, I have more tweaking to do but the baseline is a great starting point. Slants rock!!

Thanks Derek

A 200hp street slant motor in a 2800lb earlyA is fairly easy ,a little pricey , reliable and will return reasonable gas mileage.

My 65 Valaint had about 175hp ( 9.25cr Erson 280 , 2barrel) , weighed 2800lbs and had a 5 speed. It was as fast as my wifes Eagle Talon TSI AWD . It also returned similar gas mileage. It was fun fast and reliable.....and cheap. My kids learned to drive in it. I could let out the clutch at an idle in traffic......shift into 5th at 100mph.

300hp is a whole other ball of wax.

Mechanical fuel injection, such as Hilborn can make a lot of power.
I cant wait to see that engine together.
