Talked to RetroSound to see about getting a headunit that fits the 67 barracuda dash without modifications.

They don't have a specific test case of a barracuda, but were nice enough to send me the stock dummy faceplate so i could see what would need to be done. Many other cars have a cutout that a frame goes in and then the radio goes in. The Barracuda has the two slots, one for the tuner display and 1 for buttons.

Luckily the test dummy plate they sent fit pretty well. It could be better, there will be a little room before the buttons as the stock AM unit have thicker buttons, but it was close enough that I went ahead and placed and order for one.

I also ordered some 3 1/2 JL Audio speakers for the dash, an the dash adapter plate from a guy who makes them and sells them for a very reasonable price.

Once it all arrives I'll go ahead and install and take some photos.

I need to modify the mounting bracket to sit just a little bit higher. Other than that thought its great!

Amazing to have radio in the car finally. I was really missing daily driving my challenger for that reason. Now I can bluetooth stream SiriusXM from my phone and listen to Jason Ellis, and all my music can be loaded on usb drives and such. Its very cool. Interface is a little to get used to, so many features with limited buttons, but they execute it well.
