I remember seeing at one time there is a conversion from the ball and trunion to a u joint. I looked through the search engine with no successful results. Can anyone help me with my search. I am swapping an 8 3/4 into my 63search valiant convt.

The search function on here is hit or miss for me! I think the link below will help some!

That's a great article, but if no local driveshaft shop, I can recommend from my personal experience, these folks: http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Lef ... ssics.html

I can recommend this place:
http://www.raneys.com/

They built my driveshaft (the one in this link http://www.earlycuda.org/tech/ujoint.htm) about 10 years ago. Can't get as good a price now, but I stopped by today, and got a quote of between $270 and $300 plus shipping. All new driveshaft balanced and ready to bolt in. If you are interesed talk to Scott VanBeek, and tell him Charlie Schmid sent you.
