Oh now it’s OK Reed, cleansing breath there buddy…LOL, you wouldn’t think twice about watching Blues Brothers, or Dukes of Hazard two of the most marques specific destroyers of cars in history. I at times have the same feelings of elderly vehicles destroyed after surviving 40 or 50 years, a trend seen in recent movies. But, at the time of their rebirth, these old vans were dime a dozen worn out work vehicles salvaged from a scrap yard awaiting the Grim Smelter to remove their mortal coils, and were saved by the funky automotive art crowd back in the van customization crazed seventies; so no foul.

This is no different than what the hotrod hobby has been doing for the last sixty years, taking junk and putting it back on the road with a twist, in this case a grannie knot with a bow. In my book the Dodge’s big eyed Turbine inspired look adds significantly to its overall ambiance .



So I gottah ask the question, is better to see these art jobs still on the road, or have their Fe molecules rearranged into the form of some itty bitty eastern rim produced boring hybrid hit with an ugly stick, or worse, a Pontiac Aztec?

I like the land based knock-off of the Boston Botanical Garden’s Swan Boat (I rode on as a kid) inspired chick hauler; the creature of the deep ride ain’t bad either. Besides, try building something like these two chariots based on a Ford Falcon station wagon. LOL
