Hope someone might know how to find a fuel filler neck tube for a 74 Dart Swinger 225.

I have to get a new tank and the old filler neck tube is cut down with a section of rubber hose between the filler neck and the tube just before it goes through the rubber floor seal and is then welded to the old tank.

No one seems to make the replacement filler neck tubes for the new tanks, but the grommets and rubber floor seals are available.

I was hoping someone might know where to get a new or custom made neck tube like the original.

Thanks for any help,
74

Will a "good used" one work for you?

Hi Doc,

Well, I was kind of saving that as a last possibility so it's not ruled out. But I really wanted to stick with new.

If doc doesn't have one I might have one in great shape in my storage unit.

Ok, that's cool also. Thanks I'll keep it in mind!

Judging by the response I'm guessing getting one that's new is (pardon the pun) Just a pipe dream.

Well I'll still wait for a few more peoples responses before I throw in the towel.

Thanks

Just an off the wall guess here, but could an exhaust shop make you a tube with the right bends and tubing sizes?? If so, the flange at the top should be simple.

I'll be checking that out for sure. But I don't know if they can create the inner vent tube that is on the inside. The later years didn't have the outer vent tube that you can see in the trunk. We'll see.

That' right there is the difference between a 5 gallon early click off on a 16 gallon fill at the pump or you wearing 8 gallons of "rocket" fuel out the spout at the self serve on high....as it rockets out of the fill neck and on you and the rocker panel....
