Does any one what the alloy make up of a slant head is?. Idon't have a bad one to cut up or would test it at work to find out. Looking into doing a little welding on the chambers.

It's nothing special. I trust you're familiar with welding cast iron as far as preheat and cool down are concerned you should be fine. The only place I trust has a furnace for heating the head and then allows the head to cool over a period of days. Still, they come out slightly shorter than when the went in and low in the middle.
