Finishing the front brakes now. The rear shoes on either side have three holes topside. Of the three, the middle one is blue with a slightly chamfered edge which seems like the hole they intend for the adjusting guide and one end of the secondary return spring.

The issue I have is that the spring seems looser there and the lower of those three holes produces a stronger spring tension and a tauter cable.

Any issue with using the lowest point instead of the blue middle one for the guide/spring?

Don't know why I felt like asking, but I'd rather not F up my new brakes before I've driven.

The cable needs to be tight enough that the adjuster finger is just below center on the star wheel.
