Need to rebuild the carb on my 1963 slant 6.

It is a single barrel and missing the ID tag.

How do I attach or insert a photo of the carb??

Any recommendations for a rebuild shop or replacement?

Welcome aboard Scuba1x.

Look here for posting links, photos etc. Click on red text.

You should be able to rebuild your carburetor with a few simple tools. Once you know what it is, get a rebuild kit and have at it. These kits are just new gaskets, and a few parts that wear such as needle valves, and accelerator pump diaphragm. Not much to a one barrel, and plenty of help around here if you get stuck.

Try to pick up a Factory Repair Manual for your car's year and model, they are on the web in book and disk form, and prices very so shop around.

Looks like a standard Carter BBS. Yours has the external choke pull off so it's not a factory 63, so play it safe and get a kit for a 65 although they're probably the same kit anyway.

I just looked up on RockAuto, anyone know they not only stopped carrying carbs for the slant, but the rebuilds as well?? Our suppliers are drying up. :(
