My dad bought a 76 Volare wagon new. I think the color was "spitfire orange". 76 was a REALLY bad year. Due to many recalls (especially the fender rust due to no fender liners) Chrysler ended up bribing the early Volare/Aspen owners to buy K-cars so he ended up with a Reliant which although slower was a much better car.

When dad bought the Volare, the Valiant "trickled down" to me. I still have the Valiant. :D

I was searching through this forum for my old post about my Australian 1969 VF Valiant Regal Safari, and found this thread, so thought I would stick some info up here as well. It has a decent size cam (lost the spec sheet), Aussie speed long runner manifold, holley 4bbl, Extractors, oversized SS valves, 340 valve springs, a little port work, shaved head, 50 thou over pistons, a fresh rebuild. The car is a genuine second owner car, always been in the family, so a bit of an heirloom. (Second pic is a link to a video)

Man o man I love wagons, esp slant six valiant wagons.i really miss my '79 volare wagon, it was lowered three inches and my mother in law hated it. She used to call it "that s*** brown wagon!" Oh I loved that car. Tha Australian valiant wagons are killer and I'm jealous of all the cool slant speed parts they have going on. I'm sure there is a valiant wagon in my future....
