I'm gonna do the drum to disc swap. Where's the best "how to" link to be found?

The low $ way is scarbird on eBay it's about$100 for the brackets + $150 in parts including a brake splitting block , you will need a dual bowl master cylinder!

One thing is - it's some work and you could need new wheel studs

Here is a thread I started about the KH swap over at FABO. It includes basic instructions and all part numbers and prices.

Nice write up. I have also questioned those style replacement bolts. I installed KH brakes on my Demon a few months back. 2 of my caliper bolts were good. The other 2 are shot. The originals are tough to find. The car is nowhere near ready to drive. Let us know how those bolts work out.

Just a thought and a question or two on the shoulder bolts.
What is the exact length of the shoulder?
And what is the exact thickness of the caliper where the bolts go through?
The diameter of the shoulder and the caliper hole would be nice to know as well.
Was this shoulder bolt designed to clamp the joint, or is it supposed to have some "play"? Maybe the caliper is not supposed to be clamped tight to the bracket. I'll bet the shoulder is longer than the caliper through hole is. It might have been designed to float on the shoulder and what is the consequence of clamping it tight?
Shoulder bolts are not designed to hold a clamped joint.
Any thoughts from the experts?

The K-H caliper is fixed- ie, bolts solidly to the knuckle. (if it wasn't, then the mounting bolts & lugs would get beat up fairly quickly.) The bolts most likely are shouldered in order to "positively" locate the caliper (front to rear & up tp down) during assembly.

I would prefer to use a new (generic) bolt that: had a large enough head to "fit" the caliper mount hole, & was strong enough to hold at the factory torque spec. I'd just make sure that the caliper wasn't going to rub against the rotor before tightening the mount bolts.
