I liked my clifford shorty 3 into 1 headers and my turbo header haven't any sealing problems. The duster is daily driven as well

Thanks Bill and (Ted) I will look into that HP thing. Rick, thanks for the offer. I appreciate it. I am not going to tackle this right away though. I will just order one.

I feel like there us a plan now. Thanks guys.

Sam

I use dual dutras on my Dart. They require grinding around the bolts. I clearanced mine so I can use a standard 1/2" socket with a 12" extension. I also had to grind the flange to clear my mini starter.

The exhaust pipes are 2 1/8" off the manifolds down to a Y connector located by the cross member. The rest of the exhaust is 2 1/2" to a cheapo muffler that dumps just before axle.
I have noticed that the longer the pipe off the manifolds the more low end torque that the engine produces.

Its loud at idle, does it drone, who knows. Road noise covers it up and when the heater is on you can't hear anything but the fan.

How many out there have a pair of Dutra Duals that are completely leak free?
I've had my dual dutras on two motors now, without leaks. I think I'm still running a thick gasket I got from GPRS awhile back. I've used Remflex on other motors with great success, though.

One more question again: are headers historically harder to keep leak free than these cast iron manifolds if they are done right?
With a good set of gaskets, I've not had much trouble with the headers leaking on my 318 powered truck either.
