There were such things although it's hard to believe that one person has five of them. There is information about it in the Weertman papers that were published in the Slant Six News. I was contacted once by a ex-Chrysler employee in Texas that had one to sell but he wanted quite a bit of money for it and no one I contacted was interested. Apparently the diesel has a 7 main bearing crank and other features that make it quite different from production slants. It never got beyond the engineering stage but I believe some were actually installed in trucks for testing. There are also some factory turbo charged slants around that never made it to production.
What was the price asked for on that engine is TX?

I can't remember exactly but I think he was looking for $5,000+ like I say no one was interested at that price and the matter just sort of died. If you search this site and the rest of the internet there is quite a bit of information on slant six diesels. User Daven Anderson posted a really good picture on this site 2/2/04

Like I told you via P.M
I will add this thread when I know something. I do not want to push the guy.

Give it another month and remind me if you like. I will call him at that point if I have not heard anything.

Thank you for posting them. I wish it had more detail on the overhead cam derivative; that sounds like one of the more intriguing what-ifs.
