What is the best 'fix' to attached the door strap to the car pillar?

I see on ebay an item called Door Limiting Arm Rivet Kit, it looks like a good part to use.

yes you can use these. I bought a similar part a few years ago. these are from an office supply company used to screw document packages together! the problem is there are a ton of sizes, and lengths so if you go get them yourself you have to find the right one and then buy 100! if this guy has the right ones its a good solution to the door jam. let us know how these work for you.

I now remember that I used a similar part years ago when I worked in an office; we used these for binding our documents into books/folders.
