I currently have rally wheels on my Dart but I want it to look stock with the Dodge hubcaps and whitewall tires. I am currently looking for a set of stock wheels and whitewall tires. I have the 5 big bolt 4.5 center. Any reason this tire would NOT work?

"Looks" right for the era. I know that many of our forum buddies have serious issues with tire selection for their own cars based on their own type of driving, so my feeling is that we each will find a tire that fits our own needs as we see them. That having been said, our family's cars are daily drivers. In-city driving wears off the edges of the tire treads due to cornering and maneuvering, even with scheduled tire rotations. Also my wife parks at curbs 90% of the time, so she is terrible at grinding off the whitewalls on the curbs. Because of the wear issue on tread edges, our tires wear to "unsafe for Seattle rain" driving before the center of the tread is fully worn down. (I watch inflation pressures pretty regularly.) Our cars are not built for performance, just stock Darts, so I don't spend much on tires. I have never spent $155 each for a tire on our machines, but I also wouldn't buy the cheapest "questionable" tires either. Here on the Left Coast, I've had good results over 20 years with Les Schwab Tire stores, but I also pick which store and employees I can talk to and trust their judgement. Maybe find a couple tire stores recommended to you, then ask them to show you everything they have available with a white sidewall. Schwab fixes flats for free, and will re-balance and rotate for free, I think. They also do my alignments, and I always ask for them to schedule me in to a large easy time slot with their best alignment technician. That usually gives good results, though years ago I had one guy set toe-out instead of toe-in! Pat

Some locations here will honor that if you have the receipt and bought the tires new, I have had two places here attempt to charge $20 for dismount/remounting of the wheels due to a new policy they have...

You are lucky you have a good technician for alignments, the locals at the Schwabs here do a miserable job of alignments on old cars, and they tend to only want to sell tires and no brakes or alignments on them. The local mopar guys have a specific set of shops (mostly mom and pop or enthusiast owners), that love to work on these era vehicles and go the extra mile to make sure it's done right.

When I had my 1974 Duster I took it in for a brake job and an alignment on the Mission St. Les Schwab here in town as I worked a job that didn't give me time to really wrench on my car at the time...The kid put it on the rack and checked the alignment, then did the check of the brakes and told me they were fine...I got into the car and the brake pedal sank 50% to the floor before they engaged...I asked for the manager, the guy was my age and just kept coming back with every excuse not to work on the car, I told him that everytime I got asked about who to take my vehicles to I'd send them to someone else...He didn't care...I replaced the master cylinder and the pedal firmed up to being 95% of new, then took it to one of my local mom and pop shops that had an alignment rack, and they replaced the ball joints and reset the alignment. Duster drove like new.
