Do any of you old timers or young timers know if there were 2 different size ball and trunion front joints? It appears that there was and my question is if the larger flanged output can be put on in place of the smaller one.

Thanks for any help.

Yes I know I can get rid of it if I need to. Just checking my options.

Rick

Rick. Yes there are two different size joints. I am not sure, but I think it is a small joint for the 904 and certain sticks, and the large joint for 727, and the cast iron auto's and the "big" standard trans. Before 1960, I know even less.

The bigger one will not bolt up to the smaller one's trans flange. Otherwise, I don't know much.
