I am not getting spark from my coil. I check the coil with a meter . My primary wind is 1.7 ohms , my secondary wind I am getting a little over 10,000 ohms. I had a protonix 2 in there , first thought was that's bad, don't know how to test it. So I replaced the whole ignition with a dizzy that runs off a orange control box . Check my wiring twice all looks, but all the wiring diagrams show a gray wire with a tracer coming off the bulk head out of terminal j that leed to the - pole on the coil . I don't have that wire, asuming it's for a optional tack. I have a new cap and rotor as well . Any suggestions ,or should I order a new point replacement . It all work before I stored the car so I am at a loss .

Have you checked your ballast resistor?

put a test light or a multimeter on the side that goes to the distributor. it should light up or you should see 9 volts.
