OK so now to talk about the braking system of the car. I wanted to add K-H discs to my car and keep the system manual. I was wondering if the 7 1/4" axle an be had with 10" drums or if the 8 3/4" axle is required for 10" drums. OK so another thing I wanted to do was add the HD suspension package S13 and HD shocks S25 to the car. I also wanted to reinforce the K-member and use polygraphite bushings wherever possible.

Go ahead and save that weird car, the sedan, the 6 cylinder, the C-Body. If you want a big block musclecar and that's all you care about, your missing the point.

Sounds similar to my 64 Dart a few years back.
I had a 7.25 with 3.23, 6 leaf HD springs, 9" drums. All manual. Slant torsion bars. KH front disks up front with a polygraphite suspension rebuild. I added the 1.125" anti-sway bar up front. 7" wide 14" Cragers with radial T/A's all around. Car handles really well.
Since then I have upgraded the front brakes to SSBC front disks and put in a 8.75 rear with Moser axles so I can get the 4.5" bolt pattern. The SSBC bake kit uses the KH 4 piston calipers with their basic kit. They are great brakes. Also have rear discs now.
As far as 10" drums on the rear, I do not know. If I had to do it all over again, I would consider using a Dakota or Durango rear. They are an 8.25" rear with discs. Probably relatively cheap to do.

if you can find a post-73 A-Body with spb (all drum car) it should have the 7 1/4 axle with the 10" drums. That's what my 76 dart sport has.

Not all were like that, you could get 9" drums through those years too, until Jan 1976 build dates for certain...

I am sure this info has been said many times, but what is the part number for the spindle/ 10 inch drums I need for the disc brake conversion for my 64 Dart GT. Thank you for your time.

The Sbp 1965-1972 Kelsey Hayes 4 piston type use a spindle specific to only those brakes. Usually these are sold used as a complete package.

I don't know every combination that Ma mopar put out over the years, but I always thought the 10" drum brake cars still had 9" drums in back. At least the two Darts I owned (a 70 & a 73) had 10" fronts & 9" rears.

As far as I recall, my 1966 Barracuda had the 7 1/4 axle with the 10" drums. (The slant cars got the 9" version, the V8 got the 10".)
