Mine does better pumping for some reason....

Having to pump can be caused by poor or no accelerator pump shot when warmed up during a restarting, and a slightly open choke when cold and or poor pump shot.
So can I get by for now pumping do you think?
Well if the accelerator pump is not working well, then pumping will not help. Pumping USES the accelerator pump to put extra gas into the engine. That is why I asked you to do the test looking down the throat of the carb with the choke butterfly held open and looking for fuel squirting out when you activate the throttle by hand; that squirting IS the accelerator pump working. We need to know if that is OK. It may be fine, but we need to test things one at a time and eliminate what is NOT wrong; there are several areas where we need to investiagate and with your help, we can move through them one at a time.

I would get up early tommorow and do that test plus the test of the choke butterfly plate snapping closed as described above when it is cold tomorrow moring ; the cool weather right now is ideal for the choke test.

You must be in Grant County! I am in the Shenandoah Valley.

Just an update for everyone...look like this is a faked problem by this supposed 'Brenda'. You can get more info here if you like:

Not responding to this person anymore is my recommendation; a total waste of time and a 'non-automotive' problem.
