A couple of related questions; What are differences of the lower control arms between the body styles? I've been told the B/E body arms are 1" shorter than the A body arms. Is this correct? Would using one set with one body create better steering geometry for a given body style that has been lowered, (Example: Putting A-body LCAs into a lowered road-race B/E body car or vice-versa) or would this just be dangerous?

Also, did different body style/year A-bodies use different sway bar arrangements, and did that affect where they put the swaybar tab on the lower control arm?

Senior Scotto, the B's and E's measure 3/16" shorter than the A units.
A popular upgrade is to run the A units in B and Ebods for improved suspension geometery when lowered. Also gives the possiblility of a bit more camber. Nothing dangerous as long as you've got a matched set.
Swaybars:
64~72 mounted low and out toward the end near the wheel. The end links are 10" long and run UP to the bar connection (ie the bar is above the LCA) additionally the bar mounts on the outside of the K.
the 64~66 units are 42.5" wide and the 67~72 are 44.5"
73~76 mounted in the center of the LCA up about the middle and the 6" links run DOWN to the bar (ie bar BELOW the LCA) also the bar is neatly tucked inside the K and mounts just at the edges, and is 37" wide.
