Since no one else has started a tread for Bristol and We can't wait for the 29/30 to get here so we can go racing, I started the roll call.

Do we know the line up yet? Will we be making up one of the Crossville races at Bristol?

I was hoping to come to Bristol, but with my truck demolished and some back issues, I don't think the 7 hour ride will work for me. Hope you guys have a big turn out!

Rick

We plan on being there. I guess someone needs to call Bristol and confirm our second race. The flyer only shows a slant race on Sat. Last year they allowed us to run the second race on Fri. night along with test n tune if my memory serves. I have not heard from Brian lately, I'm pretty sure he has been busy relocating and getting settled in the Ashville area.

Yep, I got the flyer in the mail a day or two ago.

I will not be able to make it this year.

I know Gary is coming. He is having oil pressure problems with the race car. He may have to bring the beige valiant. I'm quite sure Meril and Lucas will be there. I think Lou is coming. Right Lou?

I can't make it. Not enough funds, as usual.

Sorry for being out of touch lately :(

I will be there for sure. I am currently trying to confirm with the track we will have a race Friday night, in addition to Saturday.

Anna and I have been overwhelmed with our recent move and remodeling.

Just talked to the folks at Bristol.

We will have 2 races, one on Friday night and one on Saturday.

Entry fee for each race will be $25.

Friday night race will start at 6pm. They are having a test and tune on that Friday from noon-6pm, and then our race and a Gambler's race at 6pm.

Saturday time trials will start at 9am for all classes (2 runs), and then into eliminations. Keep in mind Saturday will be busy with the Ford and Mopar racers.

We'll be there, but I doubt we'll get to race on Friday night. We won't get off work until 4:30 and its a 3 hour drive there. So 7:30 is the soonest we can roll through the gates.

Sorry to hear that Alanna...
We will try to save you a parking space in the pits!

Very sorry to say I cannot make this one. In Australia for a conference, and can't get back until Sun eve Aug. 31. Will see you all at Clay City and M-D.

I am now sitting in a hotel lobby in Geelong, Australia staring at a package I just received with 5 Aussie head gasket kits, AND I did get to help with Tilley's Valiant at a road race last weekend... He has an Aussie hemi 6 in it that made 493 HP on the dyno and hung with most of the big V8 cars on the track - amazing.

Have fun at Bristol!

Lou
