I thought about welding in a piece of steel behind the frame to solidify it until I can get myself a nice frame to swap everything to. And yes, I looked on LMC and nobody on earth makes that bumper anymore :(

So a few weeks ago, my friend Laura, myself and a few other friends lifted the bed off the frame, removed the rear axle and dropped the fuel tank...yeah, it's pretty bad. I'm definitely looking for another frame.

Bummer! Any way you could just weld some steel plate over the existing frame after grinding/blasting all the rust away?

I could fix it, but the idea of wanting a show truck, it's not possible.
I figured i'd give you all a small but VERY important update. Today I have sourced out a parts truck which, after the owner strips it of what he needs from it, will have the rolling frame, decent cab, really nice doors, full interior, a pass. side box fender, a blown up 318 and a 4spd manual transmission. I just have to wait until he can strip the truck of the stuff he needs and to come to a price agreement. The good thing is, he LOVES these trucks! He has the truck I'm interested in, a '79 4WD Warlock, a '78 Lil Red Express and a '79 Lil Red Express. He also has another stepside box that he's going to make into a trailer for one of the Lil Reds! The guy was super nice and I guess my dad and him knows a lot of the same people...might give me a good deal on this truck. I'll keep y'all updated!

Well a small update, but an update none the less. I bought a set of what looks to be Clifford headers, but the rear header points straight down and I've never seen Cliffords like that. These are going on the engine I have on the engine stand (which I am hopefully transporting from my friend's garage to my garage within the next week).

Also, there's a lot of slant six turbo talk on the slant six Facebook page and it's getting me a bit antsy! I cannot WAIT to get my debt paid off so I can start buying parts and plan more for my turbo build!
