Hi folks, I am looking to see if anyone knows of what the two cooler fittings part numbers are for my 63 904 tranny with a slant six.

I replaced my cooler lines and they are leaking on me. I have gotten under the car and tightened them as much as I can and it looks like one of the cooler lines may be cross threaded.

I figured I would get replacements (hopefully!) to have on hand for the next time I get under the car and drop the rear of the tranny to gain access. (Learned having parts on hand when I fixed my oil pump leak on my rebuilt engine!)

I appreciate the help.
Cheers.
John

Hey guys, again thanks for all the help and support here on the /6 forum, cant live without it!

Last post thread was about the leaking cooler lines on my rebuilt 904. I jacked up the car today and pulled the cooler line and the fitting for the front pump out side. I plugged the tranny to keep the expensive fluid from pouring out and went to my two find all parts places here in the Seattle area, Tacoma Screw in Kirkland and found the correct fitting which is 1/4 X 5/16" by the way for like a dollar or so, I got two just because a spare may be needed one of these days on my next slant six/904 combo.

I put it all back together and before I connected the cooling line I reshaped it a bit to fit straight onto the fitting and it slipped on and screwed up tight with my fingers, much better than the prior episode and tightened it up and started the car and I see no oil leak at this time but will keep an eye on the other fitting and other potential leaky places and deal with them on an as needed basis.

I drove my car around the area and hot dang it shifts fine! Seems like I need to do some kickdown work as it did not drop to 2nd when I punched it but that will be for another day.

Putting the inside back together, rear view mirrors, door panels etc.
