Yep! Congrats to everyone! Sounds like some good racin! And I'm glad someone took my red-lights for me!

So how fast did the Lancer run in the 1/4??

Ryan, glad you guys are safe. Here is a song dedicated to you.
Dennis, That there is funny! And it is more true than you know.

Glad Ryan made it to safety. I think he and the Bruner's already have something worked out on a motor.

Rick

Hey Lou, thanks for the offer. If I get time to stop I will give you a call and see if your around. I'm not exactly sure what our schedule will be like.

The Bruner's are going to fix me up with one of their engines, that should be just about right for the truck. All in all I think it's all gonna work out fine. I'm gonna rent a car to go home for now.

Dennis we were sitting around the camp fire here in Knoxville listening to the song you sent and man is it true. I managed to break seymours race car, burn a piston in my dart, wipe a cam gear in my big dodge and lose the bottom end on the 2 wheel drive dodge. Add in the slantkota that frank crashed the year before and I got 5 previously good running slants that are all sitting destroyed. I got whitneys duster apart for paint so I might not have a single slant to race at mason Dixon  Im gonna have a busy winter but I plan on having at least 4 back on the road by spring!

Congrats to team green on the new records and wins, and to Lukus for his win too! It was good seeing everyone! Hope to see some of you in Hagerstown soon.

Glad you guys are safe.

For some reason that song has been going through my head for the last 2 weeks. Maybe I'm psychic?

Or psycho....

So here's what I found out about Chris...

His name is Christopher Jackson (I didn't get his age but he's probably about 19). He just recently moved from Washington to Stanton Ky. He is headed to the Army Reserves. His car is a stock original 1962 Valiant 4 door. Everything is original to the car, with the exception of having the seats re-covered and a stereo added. He plans on attending next years slant six race at Clay City also. If anyone would like his contact info I have it available, just send me a PM.

This was the most fun I have had in a while. Got to meet and see some great people and the absolutely fantastic slant-powered cars that they build. My luck coming in third was just that and what fun it was. I encourage anyone that enjoys car shows, racing and good people to make the effort to attend the slant 6 races and get togethers. The wealth of knowledge is awesome!

I'll count things up and send you a PM with any questions before I update the Championship thread.

What a weekend! Rusty put the whole Bruner bunch on the trailer in one race. After 22 years of hearing Meril's blah...blah...blah about how he put me on the trailer at the 1992 MoPar Nationals and I finally have a comeback line.
Great to see everyone, even Slantzilla.
Thanks to Mrs.Lancer, wvenable and DadTruck for all the work organizing the event and the gift cards.
Rusty put all the Bunch on the trailer in one race!
The old Lancer made 19 trips down the track and we didn't break anything or have anything fall off the car that I know about. For some reason the trip back home was more pleasant that last year.
Hey, did I mention that Rusty put the whole Bruner bunch on the trailer in one race!

Mark

It is really nice to see that Lancer "back in action".
Hat's-off to Team Green for buying that car back and using it for what it was built to do.

So,... Did I hear that Mark had to hire another driver to be able to beat Meril..?

I have added up the points for the Clay City and Crossville make up races (with the exception of the 20 points for records).

I have always waited for the official Records thread to be updated before adding any record points. With Ryan having his truck engine trouble it may be a little while before that is updated, so I will just confirm with Seymour in order to get the points completely updated.

I also haven't adjusted anything for the "Best 5" races yet. Getting closer, just not quite done yet.
