Sorry, folks. I'm going to bail out on this one. Weather is just too iffy for me to travel that far. See you in the spring.
Hope you get the race in. Post pics.

Understood, Charlie. You will have better tested equipment by then too, eh? We'll miss you!

Cheers,

Yes, I have no track time on this engine, just got the cam broke in, yesterday. I'll try to test this weekend, and if everything is OK, go to a big race next weekend $4,000 min guarenteed purse.

I think Alana is trying to scare herself off!  Local weather is showing 10% chance of rain Saturday after 8AM, so we should be able to get some racing in Saturday for sure. Of course you never know!

Charlie We all understand since your so close by.

Wish I could control the weather for everyone.

Rick

We are coming Friday night regardless, looking forward to a weekend with no kids. Last time I bailed due to bad forecast it didn't rain.

We are planning on being there. BUT just to be contrite
Per NOAA for zip 21713

Friday Rain. High near 59. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night Rain. Patchy fog after 9pm. Low around 49. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday A chance of rain before 10am. Patchy fog before 3pm. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 64. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. North wind 3 to 5 mph.

Sunday A chance of rain after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 50%

And just to double check...

What time does the gates open on Staturday Morning? And will we be able to get in if we get there late Friday night?

If you will quit mentioning it, it may go away! Plus we are not racing Friday or Friday night.  Let it rain Friday.

Just to Razz you a bit. I don't seem to recall 3 full weather reports on the Crossville thread and you guys needed canoes that weekend!

Partly cloudy means partly sunny. 30% rain means 70% not rain! Think positive!

Gates should be open by 10:00 but they have always had the pits open on Friday night and you can just drive on in. If the gate is closed to the pits you can still pull in off the road and wait until morning.

Everyone try and be there by 11:00 and we will have a little drivers meeting and go over a few things. Time runs begin at noon. And with the weather forecast they probably will not mess around. Things will probably go pretty quickly. They usually run us 1st.

See ya all soon.

Rick

Made it just north of the 64 split before we had to stop for the night. We stayed in the trailer last night at a rest stop and let me tell you it POURED RAIN, HARD, at lest 4X's (sorry just had to say it). Back on the interstate head north, hoping to be there around 10. See ya then.

Really, this early? Well we are the same as there. So we'll be there waiting with our figures crossed. Is anyone already at the track?
