This summer I plan on upgrading my door panels to aluminum back and redesigning the armrest, the only problem is the padding. I can only get a hold of high density foam(the stuff they use for camping). I want the super-high density cushion material they use on car seats but I don't know where to get it, does anyone have a clue?

Some of the newer cars that use the high density foam you are referring to are in the junkyards. You might get one big enough to do the job you are wanting to do(rear seats out of the newer GM models). The best thing to cut these with is an electric knife. I use one of the 12 volt fileting knives that you can get at Walmart.

I ordered some when I recovered the seats in my son's 63 dart.
We have a store here in the San Diego CA Area named UFO (Upholstery
Fabric Outlet). They have everything to recover your couch and
arm chairs - And some stuff to redo auto seats. They got me the
high density light blue foam sheets in 1.5 inch and .5 inch to build
up under the seat covers. They also had the SEM vinyl dye for the
making the door panels and package shelf match.

Hope this helps.
