Does anybody have a pair of slant six spool type motor mounts? I want to use them for urethane bushings, but I want to use factory mopar mounts not the cheapy one's made in China or India.

Thanks All.

Does anyone have the bolts as well, the long ones that go through the spool mount?

If not, does anyone have the dimensions of these bolts? Same on both sides?

Thanks again,

Brian

This seems to Be more of a parts wanted post.

Maybe Check Ebay - Used stuff turns up all of the time there.

And also Move or pre post this in the parts wanted section of the forum.

Best of luck

Greg

Sorry, should have posted on parts wanted.

Still, does anyone know what size the bolts are for the spool type S6 motor mounts? I can buy some bolts, just need to know the dimensions.

My last engine iteration used a set of india rubber motor mounts that I bought a decade back and burned out and pressed in a set of Johnny Spiva's poly bushings...(thanks Ceej for the use of your press!...and thanks to Mr. Spiva for a motor mount that may increase a little noise, but will not allow a 225 to dent the hood under high torque while driving a set of 10" drag radials...)

The overseas market uses junkyard spool mounts (my drivers side had some typical damage from junkyard abuse before Singh got a hold of it and remolded rubber mounts in them...

If you can't find a junkyard set from a 1973-1976 A body or 1976-1980 FMJ body, that may be your next option.

I ordered some of Johnny's urethane bushings, you say they are noisy? Did you lube them with anything?

Depending on the durometer of the poly you ordered, you can experience greater vibration through the mounts. It isn't squeaky bushing noise. The ones I recieved are installed dry.
Look through the Poly Mounts Thread found in the Engine section under the Frequently Asked Questions sticky.
Lot's of info there.
I'd like to point out, you can order soft durometer mounts, or hard, or very hard. I went with the very hard mounts for a drag car. For a street driven car, you will want the softer ones.

They aren't going to necessarily be noisy. I suppose it's all in the application. The softer mounts should be quite satisfactory in a street car. Of course, your experience may vary.

I'm sure they'll be fine for my street ride. I didn't ask Johnny about varying softness/hardness, just asked for the spool type poly bushing and he said OK and sent it off to me...

Unless you ask for hard mounts for racing, your fine! He read our feedback. The standard ones are plenty supple.

The single piece ones are very nice. Did you have some mounts to start with? If not, you might contact Doc. He may have some available.

I should have some cow poop ones around somewhere, but as many will tell you, I can't find anything I'm actually looking for in my shop!
