Good Day, I have a super 6 intake with a carter bbd and the choke linkage will no way line up with part that bolts into the intake ( for the life of me I cant think of what thats called). What is used to choke these. Is the carb the wrong one for the intake? Im almost resorting to running a solid piece of wire from the carb to inside the car kind of like a manual choke . Thanks for any help. Dean

Dizzydean: Good morning. You give very little info about your setup.

For your problem description, my assumption is that you have a 318 carb instead of the original supersix carb.

I learned from this forum that the supersix uses an slightly modified version of the same BBD carburetor used in the v8-318. Some of the modifications are in the linkage; the 318 carb linkage is not compatible with the SuperSix, but can be modified. Check the link included, at the end of the first page, Reed talks about somebody who modified it:

Hopefully this solve your problem.
