Time to gather up some parts to complete the rear suspension on my'68 Valiant. Mostly strip and some street use. Driveability and comfort are not a concern. Slant on nitrous, 904 trans, leaving on trans brake. Rear end is a 9" Ford Lincoln Versailles. I would desire a 2" lift. It seems like my options are:

1. Everything Calvert

2. Mopar SS springs and slide a links.

If I go the SS springs route, should I use 2 lefts or two rights to avoid the dreaded lean?

Pro's and cons of each options? Thanks for the input!

From what myself and some others have found success with..

Dont use any ss Springs.. They are designed for cars that have alot more power and hit the tires harder than what your slant will.

I dont know on calverts - they could be useful.

Some folks have had success with using the most worn out set of stock slant 6 leaves and turning one leaf over and Clamping the forward part of the assembly together.

The full Calvert system including their springs would be nice. I don`t consider them very streetable thou.

Slide-a-links with standard 4 leaf springs would be interesting. I would use poly bushings in the springs. The springs would hold the car up, the bars would plant the tires.

Or you could do what I am going to do, use 6 leaf springs with poly bushings, AR Engineering front hangers. Add slapper bars as needed.

Thanks for the input folks. I went with a set of ESPO springs and slide-a-links. We'll see how this goes!
