Hey guys not sure if this is where to post but I have been in touch with Mark at Aussie speed and our dollar is very good right now so their parts are not cheap but more reasonable. The hurricane 4bbl will go for about 475 for 1 and drop to about 450 at 3. He didnt give me any more price breaks but I told him I wouls check back Monday with prospective numbers. I can ask about other parts but MY main item was just the intake so I just thought I would check with you here if anyone was interested. I can give his phone and/or email if you want to verify. I recall the last one the person who organizes had them sent to his home then he shipped them out. If thats the case I would only ask for shipping and possibly packing cost depending on how they get shipped. No scam here Im just trying to get a deal on a great intake and decided to pass it along. From the many people on the forum that have done a back to back comparison testing between the Aussiespeed intakes(both the long and short runner versions) vs. the Clifford intake on the Slants, the Aussiespeed intakes do not provide anywhere near the same performance level and fall short of what the Clifford intake will provide. Just search the forum and you'll find a lot of discussion about them.

The overall (higher RPM) HP is definitely lower for the Aussiespeeds, but in my testing the low end performance is better than Clifford, at least with the long runner version. I am hoping Aussiespeed might try a run with larger runner areas and see if high RPM power is improved.

The cool factor is certainly there...

Does anyone know how much power the current one can support? Theoretically of course. Maybe the better question would be what is the most power that's been made with a Hurricane?

NA? It's a real guess...I can say that Dave Mueller put one on a previous known race engine, and installed it into his '69 Valiant Ruster that was put under the sawzall diet and used headers.... My time slip when pitted against him, put him in the mid 13's... but you wouldn't daily drive that car on the street... that run also provided a best for the Hpak Duster in the low 15's with a high SCR motor, headers and a Dutra Fat Pak (Dave had the advantage of at least 800 lbs of weight, one of his OCG regrind roller cams, and a lot more engine prep...and his BBQ).

IIRC, Mark Etheridge ran about 0.2-0.3 sec slower than with his Clifford with the long runner in his 62 toad, so high 11s instead of mid 11s.
