I realise the junkyards aren't full of slants these days to allow picking and choosing parts(if you thinks it's tough in the US then try over here),but I would be surprised if the factory bothered to selectively fit heads to blocks and check chamber alignment either and they seemed to get away with it and obviously used a standard gasket...admittedly on a Std bore...and no,I'm not suggesting to do just that on a rebuild,after all,that's why it's recomended to check the alignment during a rebuild so I appreciate there is an alignment issue.
