Well, there's two minutes out of my life that I'll never get back.

COOL, YEAH, let's totally do up an aluminum head! In addition to costing not more than $400, it should be a full-race item with big ports, big valves, and big combustion chambers, yet have plenty of "meat" for custom porting and be drop-on compatible with stock blocks and stock intake and exhaust manifolds.

No sweat, I'll do up some molds next weekend, after I mow the lawns.

Ya know, Rick, we could just stop reading it.

The problem is, it's like a train wreck.......ya just know there's gonna be somebody hurt, but you can't take your eyes away from it.

There are plenty of good OEM cylinder head cores to modify to achieve the goals of the majority at a reasonable cost.

In twenty years there might be a justification to spend for something better, but there are relatively few who really need that good of a head.

If its ever done it won't be a group project. There is a thread on the HAMB for a new Ford 'B' banger block in the works. Good castings for those motors are getting hard to find and its now cheaper to make a new one than repair cracked blocks. That's not the case for the slant six.

Its the Three Bears scenario. Not many want to spend the Baby Bear price for results that are cheaper to achieve with a modified OEM casting. The just-right people can't agree on what they want, group consensus won't matter much anyway when it happens as someone will do it all by themselves.

Sadly, the true nature of most hobby endeavors.

Howard Davis already did it on his own.
