Boy they really know how to make 4 doors sound romantic!

I forgot the the early Valiant had a 3rd seat option! Learn something new everyday I guess. That helps with the 3 things I forget everyday!

I think my favorite part is the two little boys leaning out the rolled down tailgate window as the car drives away. These days you have warning indicators on the dash telling you to keep the rear hatch/window closed while the car is runnign to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning from exhaust being pulled into the car through the open window. I guess they built kids tougher in 1960!

Air quality in cars was much worse than anything that wafted in through an open tailgate in those days. Everyone was a heavy smoker. I recall riding with a friend his siblings and his stogy smoke'n dad Sunday mornings when we were kids c. 1962. Just a short 2 mile ride made my eyes water, and clothes stink...

I also remember some manufacture around that same time advertising their product as having the latest & greatest thing, "flow-through ventilation"; his 1954 Coronet Wagon had no such thing.

The good old days.

The narrator skirts the line between a seductive cad and your older wiser brother. Longer than many of the older commercials I've seen. Nice exposé.
