What's the difference between the tie rod ends for the 67 vs the 76? I see Moog has part number 319 for the older and part number 401 for the later.

I've swapped to 73-76 K frame and link, but I'm keeping my older 9" drums, lower ball joint for now. Will the later tie rod ends fit the older lower ball joint?

It looks like maybe the newer ones have a slightly different angle to them for the later center link?

Is the taper on the shaft with the castle nut the same? thanks.

All A-body tie rods and ends should be interchangeable, at least 62-76 and possibly 60-61 also. I have the 11/16" C-body ends and rods on most of my cars, which also are a direct bolt in and are thicker and more rigid.

I can't figure that. Maybe there is some quality difference?

BTW, the C-body tie rods/ends are years 74-78 (e.g., Plymouth Fury), in case you want those.

I looked up the Fury (1975) on rock auto the only tie rods that are listed are the 9/16" ones? Is there a different car that will have these?

Plymouth Fury in 1978 is a late B body......

Oops, sorry about the body/badge error. Yes, New Yorker would be correct. Also, the upper limit on the year may be 1977, not 1978.

You want 11/16" tie rods...just put it smack dab in the middle of the 70's for late C-bodies before they went the way of the Dinosaurs: ask for them from a 1975 New Yorker or Imperial.... that puts you farther back from that edge where some cars (Sport Fury) went from being a C-body to a B-body.... and weren't so luckily equipped. That's what I have under both Dusters at this time, and they were Moog Parts.

(Dan should correct me, but I think that is also the only year that Mopar offered rear slider disc brakes on the C-body Imperial with the 9 1/4" rear end...)

I don't think it's a quality difference; Moog makes good stuff. Might just be that they're phasing out the older ones? I mean if they are identical, then why have two part numbers for the same piece. Anyway, I got the newer 1/3 of the price ones.

Is it the same piece, or is it the left hand/right hand threaded ends for each rod assembly so you can dial them out or in without pulling them?

I only posted one example of each from Summit, they sell inner/outer RH/LH threaded ends for both the "old" and "new" ones. The old ones are just 3x the price.
