I hope that there is a 2nd run in the future ! These are cool but I don't think I can do it right now.

With these as well as Dutra Duals I'd like a boss that would enable attaching copper or stainless tubes for a carb heat box on EOM manifolds, or O2 sensors. The ports could be on the underside to retain the stock appearance. These manifolds are sweet as is.

what are those bolt holes in the hyper pack manifolds for, the ones about mid-way along the manifolds, on the front sides. I was thinking the same thing, maybe mount a heat box on those somehow, but make it free floating.

You can always drill/tap for O2 sensors, but I'd likely put in the down pipes, just before the collector (if there is one).

They are where the original intake and exhaust manifolds were bolted together. You will likely get some heat right off of the manifolds if you are running anything other than the long Hyperpak. But you could fab up some kind of shield to direct heat up under the carb area.

It was also mentioned about the D/S Alternator. I do have mine on the D/S. It is the full size alternator and it still has probably 3 or 4 inches of room between the manifold and the Alternator.

Rick,

Yes, I have a heat shield as well, there is plenty of heat in that area once she warms up.

I think your right, maybe just a deflector mounted to the front manifold that guides heat toward the intake heat box, doesn't have to touch it per se. That should be enough. Basically an inverted funnel made of sheet metal should work - concentrate the convective heat to the heat box area. Maybe coat the manifolds black to enhance radiative heat (emissivity) as well.

I'm sure once I have the hyper packs, I'll work on a design and share with all. I'm into aesthetics, so it'll be nice looking as well as functional.

It seems like with choices of pumps, Saginaw, Thompson, Federal; how far out the belt allows it to go; and PS bracket modifications, there should be a at least a few ways to clear the front manifold, if they already don't clear it.

The GM style pumps appear to be skinnier front to back, maybe that's a fix as well...

This style appears to have a pretty compact body...because it uses a remote reservoir. Slant sixers have that driver side canyon of space to work with...

Sign me up! PM sent!

Really wishing I hadn't sold my Hyper Pak intake and new 390 carb a few months back! I guess I'm in the market for another HP intake manifold too...

I have had several e-mails back and forth with Steve Magnante and he was very excited to hear about the manifolds and offered to pass the word around in his circles. He still contributes to Mopar Muscle, Car Craft ...etc and he may be able help with a little bit of "advertising". I believe there will some more folks come forward as the project progresses. I will keep everyone posted as the Summer moves on! Slow and steady wins the race.

That's awesome! I bet He still regrets getting rid of those white cars!

Yes he checks in here from time to time. I told him one of his altered wheelbase darts with a Hilborn injected Slant 6 5 speed would be cool!

I have a new e-mail address for the project, and I need to get him some pictures and then he will take care of the rest.

Is Steve still up in the Northeast? See if you can get him to Mason-Dixon

I dont know for sure, but there is a 508 Area code on his website.. Maybe an office or old cell # from Connecticut... but it seems feasible that he could also be in LA suburbs also.

I'm pretty sure he is in Mass.

I will invite him down to Mason Dixon
