I just bolted my spool motor mounts on and it looks weird. Can you guys give me a reality check?

Then engine is "level" with the manifold mating surface vertical. In this position the passenger side motor mount seems awfully low. In the K frame the passenger side mount is about 3 inches lower than the driver side, but this looks way too low. Do I have the right ones and/or mounted correctly? They only seem to go on one way.

Thanks.

Your manifold-side mount is installed correctly.
Your distributor-side mount is upside-down. Remove it, rotate it 180° so the two bolt holes swap positions, and reattach it to the block.

Don't feel so bad. I've done the same thing with the sandwich style mounts. Just be glad you figured it out before it was hanging on the hoist in the engine bay with you scratching your head wondering why you can't get it nestled in the k-frame.

the passenger side one looked way low, but when I imagined turning it over, that, at least in my mind, seemed like it couldn't be right either....thanks to Dan for his quick input. When I flipped it over it looks totally appropriate...my mind plays tricks on me.

brian
