I saw a Hella 7010 wiper delay unit on a 62 Dodge Lancer today.

Where could I buy one and are there other "good" wiper delay units I could consider?

The full number is HELLA 001871041. Using this I was able to find it on summit, ebay, amazon.... any hella dealer should be able to order it.

7010 is the Hella Australia number (also Hella New Zealand).
001871041 is the Hella USA number.

For whatever reason, those two branches of Hella use their own numbering systems. The actual full Hella number for the universal add-on interval wiper control is 5WA 001 871 041.

But given that crickhollow is in Australia, he can just use the number he already knows: 7010 as shown here.

Is the HLA-001871041 suitable for my 61 Valiant?

It will be cheaper to buy the HLA-001871041 from Summit than the 7010 in Australia.

If your Valiant has single-speed windshield wipers, the delay unit should be suitable. If it has variable-speed, things get a whole lot more complicated and less possible.
