I've looked on youtube and searched here on the forums for an explanation but so far haven't found anything. I've read a lot of guys say recurving your distributor, especially after getting any head work done is a good idea and will boost HP and possible fuel economy but my question is: What exactly is recurving a distributor, what does it do and how do you do it?

What Reed said. I will add that in my case while building a moderately higher than stock 170, the recurve that DD did for me was a vast improvement in overall performance.
