I never had one just make noise. Mine usually make one big "BANG" and the problem becomes evident instantly. :lol:

I wonder if the clutches had been replaced, and the bolts were not torqued correctly...

Is it advisable to replace the carrier bolts when replacing the clutches? I know it is proper to replace the ring gear-to-sure grip(carrier?) bolts.

Glad to hear it was not something more involved.
