I have a 1974 Plymouth scamp I finally got started, but I would like to delete the seat belt interlock system. I would like to know if it can be done and if so , what do I need to do to get rid of it.
Thanks for any help

I have never found one that was actually hooked up from the factory??? 1974,5,6.

My brother's 74 Duster had it. It is a separate wiring harness that is easily traced and removed. Alternatively, just unplug the two wires going to the seat bottom to disable it (as Dan stated in the link he provided).

They were installed only on 1974-model vehicles, and each and every one was hooked up at the factory, by law.

Come to think of it, I once owned a 74 Valiant sedan that had it, too.
