Terry,

In response to your "starting in 2nd" comment in the other thread:

Why not just gear up the car and stick with the 904? Then, just use 1st and 2nd and maybe part of 3rd. Stick in some 3.23-3.91s and go...

Lou

Also, I imagine that some sort of traction device or rear suspension mods would allow you to not pull the front wheels so much. If a 4-link, then you can adjust it to keep the front down and rear planted. If leaf springs, then maybe try Cal Tracs.

back from this weekend of racing, made it to the finial in the concellation round. didn`t better my time had trouble with 2to3 shift, found the trouble sunday morning while adj shifter cable, the bracket moved out of place on the trans housing,so i moved it back the set 1st gear on the cable adj though i had it but then it started skipping 2nd and going right to 3rd.never had time to fix it, i keep winning rounds, could believe i was running 11.40et with no 2nd shift going down track. then my welding job on #6ex port started leaking, you can see in the video.just some more things to fix, hopefuly some stop leak can seal the water leak into the ex port for the last two weekends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3qlAqVt ... xlawvf1Nxg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQvVNIHu ... xlawvf1Nxg

Lou, are you crazy! I live for the day that my car could lift a front wheel. I wouldn't even care if I went slower to do it!

will this season is over. made 6 of the 9 events. ran a best of 11.15@120mph. this weekend ran a best of 11.26@117mph but mostly 11.30`s. the welding repair on #6 ex port finially gave out and with coolant contaminating the engine the car slowed to a 11.66et . i need to do a fresh head over the winter, i have engblder valves, bb ss 1.81 ex. i am going to cut them down to 1.80 for intake and 1.60 for ex. they are longer but with some shimming they should work. i did start the season with 4.88 gears then tried 4.30 and 4.10`s. my 60`s did improve to a best of 1.47sec. down the track the gear change never seem to change much. i`ll have to think about that over the winter.

first weekend of the season is in the books, i lost in the first round had trans shifter lingage trouble and didn`t have a good dial so ended up breaking out, but in the constilation round i made it to the 3rd round and lost the alternator belt and slowed to a 12.50 on a 11.50 dial. http://youtu.be/8CGXay1dpJU http://youtu.be/FJbteBwNqks http://youtu.be/bLecJCyf5BQ http://youtu.be/iIoauJtEbWs
