Starting to run out of pieces that aren't bolted on.

I stripped the bumpers and trim off of the Cuda to start prepping the body for paint.

I've never really done paint and body work so this is a brand new adventure for me. The 'Cuda however, is no stranger to the paint booth. It's got 9 layers of paint and primer on it. Not to mention plenty of body filler.

After much body filler, sanding, blocking, primer, more blocking, more primer, more blocking, etc., etc., etc. I finally sprayed the base coat.

Are you by chance coming to the Woodburn Slant 6 race Aug 15-16? I will be there from VA. Would be nice to meet you in person.

Lou

It looks a lot better in the photo than it does in person.
Still... it will be fine when it's all done.

Paint has a big learning curve and I'm still on the steep part of the slope

I have to admit I am more than a little jealous because of my failed 66 Cuda Formula S project.

That was Josh's 66 Cuda. What failed on my project was my will and my checkbook and previous bad repairs hidden by bondo. But thats a topic for a different thread. YOUR Cuda is coming along nicely!

I still have a long way to go. Plenty of opportunity to stall or go backwards.
But... so far, so good !

Hey Lou,

Sorry I missed you. I don't make the drag race scene. Maybe I will sometime when I have a car to run.
I was off on a 3 week motorcycle ride for most of August --> http://drriders.com/topic15604.html :P

Great build, I've read the entire thread, and found a lot of information that I can use for my 63 Dart build.
